ABOUT ME

My name is Katie, and I am a qualified integrative counsellor with a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, alongside Level 2 and Level 3 counselling qualifications. I am passionate about offering compassionate, accessible mental health support in a safe and confidential environment.

My Journey

My path into counselling began during a deeply personal and challenging period in my life, when my father was receiving treatment for cancer. During this time, I witnessed first‑hand the care, empathy, and emotional support provided by the palliative care team. Their ability to listen without judgement, sit with difficult emotions, and offer calm reassurance left a lasting impression on me.

That experience showed me the profound impact of being truly heard and understood. It inspired me to train as a counsellor so that I could offer the same sense of safety and support to others as they navigate life’s challenges.

Professional Experience and Training

I completed my counselling placement within a community‑based charity in Teddington, where I worked with adults from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences. This role strengthened my belief in the importance of accessible, compassionate counselling within the community, and it continues to shape my approach today.

My Therapeutic Approach

  • Tailored Support

As an integrative counsellor, I don’t believe in "one size fits all." I draw from various therapeutic techniques to create a flexible plan that fits your unique personality and needs.

  • Exploring Patterns

We gently look at how early life experiences may be shaping your current relationships and behaviors—bringing "unconscious" patterns into the light so they can be understood.

  • Finding Balance

Together, we transform that self-understanding into self-acceptance. My goal is to help you leave sessions feeling more empowered, balanced, and authentically connected to yourself.
